How do i find drivers for Packard Bell imedia 5070, Windows XP Home Edition SP 3

I am trying to fix my one of my relatives’ pc.  They have a Packard Bell imedia 5070, Windows XP Home SP 3.  I have reinstalled the OS. However, they do not have any motherboard or drivers CD.  The Drivers were missing for the followings:
1 Ethernet Controller
2. SM Bus controller
3. Sound
4. VGA Display
I have managed to get the drivers for the VGA display and sound from Packard Bell website.  However, I cannot find anything on SM Bus controller or Ethernet controller.
Can anyone please tell me where I can find drivers for the above components?
Many thanks.

Here is the chipset driver from the site provided by flubbster that you need. Install this then see if you need anything else.

Try the following website http://www.packardbell.co.uk/pb/en/GB/content/download

You do need to have the correct model number, such as iMedia (PT.U03-PV.U03)

The numbers in bold are the most important.

Open the Device Manager, click Start then Run and enter devmgmt.msc
Right click on the device you need drivers for and select properties.
Then select the "Details" tab
Use Ctrl+c to copy the device instance ID string.
Then paste it (Ctrl+v) in your reply.
I will try to find your drivers for you.

None of this will do you any good unless you find and install the Motherboard Chipset driver FIRST. The chipset driver will provide the HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer), which is the interface between the actual hardware on the board and the drivers for each device. You need to post the exact model number(s) from the computer as suggested above.

Thank you very much both of you(s) for your joint effort!

The link ftp://ftp.download.packardbell.com/DESKTOP/iMedia%20(2005-2007)/Driver/Xp/nv_mcp61_chipset457.exe  had the correct driver.

I now have access to the internet!

This is GREAT!

Many thanks again.
