ThinkCentre A58 7515-7SG - Lenovo - wont boot - 3 beeps


Ive swapped video card.
tried different memory.

What are the beep codes for this  sys?

The fans are spinning when I hit the power switch.

Judging by this chart, and the fact you have already changed out the memory, it migh tbe your system board(mother board) depending on the replacement cost, it could be time for a new laptop.

Beep symptoms

If the three beeps are one long beep and then two short beeps afterward, then it's possibly your monitor or (in this case) video card that is at issue.

Its a tower unit.
Ive swapped the vid card already.
The monitor is a known good one.

I think its the mobo or processor.

I will see if I have another same type procesor around I can swap and see if it works.

well at this point, I would unplug everything from the Motherboard and just the power and the video.

and if that doesnt work, remove the motherboard from the machine and place it on some cardboard and try the same.

After that, get a new Motherboard.
