Windows 2008 R2 now calls radius NPS. Which apparently has some new features.

Im looking to setup an LDAP proxy server, which I can point multiple applications that support single domain ldap lookups and point them to a ldap proxy to do ldap lookups on multiple domains. Can NPS do this?

    Accepted Solution

NPS doesn't support LDAP lookups or any proxying functions. NPS is an Expanded RADIUS function that supports Network Access Control. It adds some features to normal RADIUS, but it is still essentially RADIUS and will only pass authentication information. The Network Access Control features will allow you to limit access based on whether Virus protection is installed and up to date and whether the OS is up to date, as well as other things.
