    Try removing the height 100% in this:

        background-color: #FFF;
        float: left;
        height: 100%;
        min-height: 200px;
        min-width: 650px;
        text-align: left;
        width: 55%;

    I've been doing the same...but in ASP.NET / C#.

    To be honest...I don't really like it much.

    My understanding is PHP is every bit as powerful...and a lot less that true?

    I'd love to talk to someone who has migrated over to PHP from .NET...get an idea of it.
