I have SharePoint 2010 farm and its working fine I have imported users from AD it shows number 1500 recently 2 users complaint that they can’t find them in the people search . Ok, I went in to the search center use people search and they are not included in the result. So I ran a full crawl but did not do it .

I went to the user profile Service application click on manage user profile and enter user name wow there is no user profile in there. I can see other users profile but not these 2 users. I check some timer jobs and ran a full import. Interestingly I have 1502 users now. I can see 2 additional users but when I go and look for the user in manage user profile it still does not show up. We check in AD it’s all same as other users. Other users in the same OU of these 2 users are available in user profile page. What else I should check. Any help?

Hi,
I would go on power shell and use SPUser commands to find out what's up.
Examples here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff607827.aspx

Cheers,

Adding this:
To access the SharePoint 2010 Management Shell
1.On the Start menu, click All Programs.
2.Click Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Products.
3.Click SharePoint 2010 Management Shell

Indeed that command can be used for seting user permissions, but not only. For example, if you do
Get-SPUser –Web http://SharePointServer | Set-SPUser –SyncFromAD,
it will parse all your users and sync their profiles with AD. Try to run the above and watch the result :).

You mean if i will run this command you mentioned above it will automatically import users who are not even checked in the AD connection detail page ( where you can check and uncheck groups  you want to import) .

i try to ran this command but for some reason i got this error

Set-SPUser : Cannot get the full name or e-mail address of user "Domain\User1".
At line:1 char:54
+ get-spuser -web http://ABC.com  | set-spuser <<<<  -syncfromAD
    + CategoryInfo          : InvalidData: (Microsoft.Share...SPCmdletSetUser:SPCmdletSetUser) [Se
   t-SPUser], SPException
    + FullyQualifiedErrorId : Microsoft.SharePoint.PowerShell.SPCmdletSetUser

if i run this command using Set-SPUser it will set the user for next import i have not ran anothe import but i will let you know after import it will bring the user in or not .

Hey Popecul
well what i find out is that this specific OU from where users are not showing up in the search result and not being imported, is not checked in the AD Connection . But there are other users in the same Group and  they are search able  also there profiles are present . I guess this OU was checked in the past and users were imported in sharepoint . later some one uncheck this OU and some how those two users have there profile deleted . it should delte other users too after next import but it did not . dont know why , but when i check this OU again and run a import  again all users came up . weired.
let me know what you think , is it possible ?
