Unable to full-text search PDFs in SharePoint Server 2010

I'm to enable full-text indexing of PDFs on my SharePoint Server 2010 64-bit enterprise edition. I've went through several articles explaining how to do it, including this:, but it's still not working.

When I look at the crawl log every PDF has the following message by it:
"Crawled ( The filtering process could not load the item. This is possibly caused by an unrecognized item format or item corruption. 0x40d30 )"

Any ideas?

The only step I didn't do in that list is putting the icon mapping key in the exact spot they say, I put it at the top of the list, thinking it didn't matter. I'll go ahead and try that.

It is now full-text indexing PDFs. I went through the Registry several times, and i discovered that the GUID had an extra space on the end, so I removed that. I also had added more stuff than necessary from other articles i read, so I removed those.

Now i want to add full-text indexing for WordPerfect. Googling gave me this:

Do you know if this will work for SharePoint 2010, or is there something else I need to install?
