#550 5.1.1 RESOLVER.ADR.RecipNotFound; not found ##

Ok, I've done it like 30 times before but for some reason I can't get email to flow on this mail server, Exchange 2007.

I can send out a message but I can't receive anything...  I get a bounce back pasted below.  What am I missing.......???

Have you upgraded from exchange2003 to 2007 recently?
or deleted and recreated your mailbox?

It is fresh install of Exchange 2007 (on server 2003x64).  I have tried other mailboxes that I created and they are still getting the same NDR...  I am almost thinking of starting over, but I wonder what the ramification of that are going to be too....
If it is a fresh installation, I suggest try new one again instead of troubleshooting the current one.
because you will get an error free exchange if you reinstall.
please let me know if it as the same issue.

pleasedo not forget to prepare schema and AD

first command
setup.com /prepareSchema

second command
setup.com/prepareshema

please let me know if the new exchange  has the same issue.

pleasedo not forget to prepare schema and AD while installing exchange

So, I did just that last night...  I re-installed a new machine and configured it.  Now, I cant even send messages...  sigh...

According to mxtoolbox.com I get:  Warning - Reverse DNS does not match SMTP Banner

I am wondering if there is a problem at the colocation...?  Giving Reverse DNS problems or something.  Or if the colo is causing me some other difficulties....  Hrm...

The server is DaetaXchange.Daeta42.net

(I did do the prep schema and AD before I did the install)

please configure url for ur receive connectors and send connectors to remove smtp banner error
check ur event viewer for any error,

No errors in the event logs...

And how do you configure the URL for the receive and send connector to remove the SMTP banner error???

Ok...  Now I am confused...  I just got an email from some random place that I put my address into like a year ago...  (some random website)

And, I am able to send an email from my gmail account...  Just not my hosted exchange account for work...  It comes back with the #550 5.1.1 RESOLVER.ADR.RecipNotFound; not found ##

Why would one work and the other get the 550 error?

abbasiftt-
I ended up contacting my Colo provider and asked them to change my rDNS to point to my server.  I found another problem a bit ago as well.  My SonicWall was accepting traffic on x.x.x.163 but was sending traffic for the server out on x.x.x.162.  I corrected that issue...  I am waiting for rDNS to propagate to see if that fixes the issue.

I am still a bit weird-ed out by the fact that my hosted exchange provider bounces the message right away...  From the looks of it, it doesn't even go out of their server at all...  Could that be due to the rDNS?  Seeing as Gmail, Hotmail & 2 other Exchange servers that I have the ability to send from don't bounce I am thinking that either it is the rDNS or my hosted Exchange provider that is screwing things up.......

I basically got belligerent with GoDaddy and got the issue escalated up and up and up...  It comes to pass that the issue was with GoDaddy's hosted Exchange servers and not with mine...  I feel vindicated since I wasn't doing anything wrong except perhaps using them for hosted Exchange...
