    Accepted Solution

    create a phpinfo.php file with:
    <?php phpinfo(); ?>
    inside. Put a copy in your document root.

    Request the phpinfo.php file in a browser.
    Check the output on the php info page for _SERVER["REQUEST_URI"].

    If this variable is missing, then CGI is used. If the variable is present and correctly set to /phpinfo.php/foobar?foo=bar, the either ISAPI or FastCGI is being used.

    Look near the top of the php info page for Server API. It should say either ISAPI or CGI/FastCGI.
