VMware ESXi

I have a ESXi server, when i do a new vm like windows 2008 server I allways do:
1.create vm (windows 2008 server 1)
2.and install from cd.
But sometimes i need 2 x or 3 x windows 2008 server install.
Is there a way after installing one of them and clone other. If yes, IS THIS CLONING CAN MAKE ME A PROBLEM
IN THE FUTURE.?
Thanks

If you have ESXi free you cannot use vmware template that allows you to do this but what you can do is create a windows VM and then use VMWare Converter standalone to create another copy of it (doing a V2V).  This is not a problem.  Once you're done you can run sysprep and wipe the SID, hostname, etc..

If you have free ESXi, the only way to get a copy of your VM is to make a manual copy with Veeam FastSCP, or use vCenter Converter Standalone (feee tool). If you have vCenter Server, you have Clone option there & no, it doesnt cause problems.

Since you're doing trial of ESXi, I recommend downloading vCenter Server to trial as well for 60days.

Ok..you just need to install vCenter Server on it. Since you're doing a small environment test, just use the default local SQLExpress DB install.

Get same version as your ESXi host (I assume its 4.1?)

Sure there is...see here :)
http://downloads.vmware.com/d/info/datacenter_downloads/vmware_vsphere_4/4_0; download the correct 'Edition' (Essentials, Essentials Plus, Standard, etc.) you're trialing then the correct 'version' (4.0 U2, 4.1, etc.).

Oh, ok...you're on the main downloads page. vCenter is a component/part of the VMwaer vSphere 4 download link. (1st one in the list)
