I have MDI form with Menu. When you have selected a menu item, you will be shown a child window. My problem is, even though I am showing one child window, I can click on menu and select another child window to show. I want to avoid this by using modal dialog or something. But I cannot make it as modaldialog as I am using MDI here. Can you please provide me a solution ? I made the Visigoth of the controlbox to false but invain.

    An MDI child form can not be shown modally. Try this

    Instead of

    Dim f1 As New ChildForm
    f1.mdiparent = Me

    Use this

    Dim f1 As New ChildForm
    f1.ShowInTaskbar = False
