facebook tabbed icons

Anyone know how to change the icons for the tabs that display at the left side of the page, beneath your profile photo? Is there a free way to do this, or must a use special software I have to pay for? See example site of these tabbed icons that are customized with graphics. Those are done with static FBML and the icons can be made with photoshop, gimp or paintdotnet.

I thought Facebook was doing away with FBML pages though and moved to iFrame. Is this the same discussion? I do have FBML pages created on my facebook page, but didn't know I could create an icon to go with it. But, Facebook took away the option to add any new FBML pages, and are forcing developers to go with the iFrame which is supposed to be better. Can you help explain how to change the icon without creating an FBML page? Thank you.

I was able to add FBML to mine after the profile change..... I haven't played with with icons yet though.

I never thought about the iframe thing since I was able to use FBML without effort.

ok looks like it's not fully supported yet... VS must have had older FBML that was grandfathered in, in a way....

also there are several developers for iframe apps as well.

I found one that looks good where you can iframe your website into a tab:

I went into one of my current FBML pages. I se my html code in the FBML box. I don't see anything on the page though that says to update the icon. Where do you see that?

I think they got rid of that as thier "depreciation" efforts to phase out FBML in favor of iframe.... FB typically forces page owners into new things.

Iframes for Pages says:

Check out the YouTube Video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RaLAELfEp6E . When you create the custom app, (whick takes three minutes) you upload your 16px custom icon. I need to change up the Fit 2 and 3 to their own and it will take me one minute to change that up.

so this application will allow you to do that.

How about this video on adding custom tabs? They talk about the custom icon image as well. Are you familiar with this method? Was thinking about trying this one out. Any thoughts? Just curious.

Just a general comment, thought you might be able to help with... do you know why the "Developers" app is not coming up? If you log in to Facebook and search for "Developer" like the video says, the app is missing when it comes up. Any insight into this? Did you hear anything about this?
