Adding POST and GET Permission to website

I am getting a http verb error on my website and I would like to add the POST http verb in order to get this working.  How do I add this in the web.config file in order to get this working?  Thank you!

Hi,

adding http get/post i.e., adding/removing protocols are available for web services. NOT for websites.

for web service you can add/remove protocols by adding the below configurations.

<configuration>
    <system.web>
    <webServices>
        <protocols>
             <remove name="HttpSoap"/>
	     <add name="HttpPost"/>
 	     <add name="HttpGet"/>
 	     <remove name="HttpPostLocalhost"/>
        </protocols>
    </webServices>
    </system.web>
</configuration>

while searching on this i found another workaround.

<configuration>
   <system.web>
      <httpHandlers>
         <add verb="*"
              path="*.New"
              type="MyHandler.New,MyHandler"/>
         <add verb="GET,HEAD, POST"
              path="*.MyNewFileExtension"
              type="MyHandler.MNFEHandler,MyHandler.dll"/>
     </httpHandlers>
   <system.web>
</configuration>
