windows 7 sleep: how to delay default sleep setting?

I have set, for instance, for W7 to sleep after 15 minutes.
However, there are occasions, that i'm in a meeting or on a lunch break that i know that i'll be back and do not want the default to happen, but hang on live and postpone the automatic sleep.

how can i activate an application or whatever to postponing an impending sleep on a per-situation basis (one-time request for this delay request)

thanks, i was hoping for an application somehow to extend a one-time delay (hands-off) for sleep.
It's for my main system (no battery involved) to save power, etc.

Computers do not know what you are doing at any given instant, and the power manager in Windows is set to use profiles. So unless someone has cobbled up such an application, changing power profiles is the basic method available now.

Most of us (that I know) want on-demand sleep and that is readily available. .. Thinkpads_User

YES YES this is perfect script. many thanks.
(it has exactly the parameter i want: X num minutes prevented going to sleep, after that the system can default to the pwr mgmt settings)
