How do I remove Windows 7 Anti-virus?

It is a rogue malware application that has embedded itself on this laptop I am working on.

    Follow the tutorial here at Geekstogo which is to download and rename the mbam and after the installation also rename mbam.exe located in the Program Files\MalwareBytes Anti-malware.
    And launch MalwareBytes and do a quick scan.

    The above has different steps,
    this one from bleepingcomputer, is the one which uses FixNCR.reg first, then use RKill to kill the rogue processes before running MalwareBytes scan.
