Does installing .NET 4 also install .NET 2 and 3?

I have a VB.net 2010 based windows forms app that targets .NET Framework 3. Another one targets .NET Framework 2.

I have a friend with XP. He's got a really old version of .NET on it (1.1 I think) so he needs to update.

If I get him to install the "Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (Web Installer)" in the MS Download Center, will this install everything he needs to run my programs that target .NET 2 and 3, or does he have to install .NET 2 and .NET 3 separately?

It's probably safe to say that your friend installing 4.0 will be able to run your 2.0/3.0 applications.  Take a look here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2843318/is-c-4-0-backward-compatible-to-c-2-0

.net 4 does not install .net 3.5 but 2.0 and 3.5 code will run after installing .net 4
