I thought there was something built into Windows for automating backups today?

My goal is to have an inserted thumb drive trigger where if a particular thumb drive is plugged in, the data backups will happen automatically, according to preset criteria.

I have no personal experience with this type of backing up but I did do a  bit of research for you and this is what I found for you.  This product looked to be the best for teh least amount of money and it has a 15 free trial.
