Usage of an external disk drive

I am thinking of getting an "Iomega Prestige 1TB Portable Compact USB 2.0 External Hard Drive".
Can anyone tell me whether this can connect simply as a drive E:\ for example - in other words as if it was another internal disk. I just want extra space and am not particularly bothered with taking it around with me... Much.

Many thanks.

Yes you can, connect it and chage the drive letter whatever you want.
Of course... you just connect the drive externally and it picks up the first free drive letter. If you need, you can change that drive letter lately by coing through computer management, disk managment and right clicking on the drive...
