Cannon Dr 5010 scanner

We use Kodak Capture Pro with the scanner in question. What is happening is one we scan a single document. The scanner is not sending the software a notice that it is done. The only way we can get this it work is by hitting the STOP button on teh scanner. I have reinstalled the drivers replace the usb cable and still having the same issue.

Has any one seen something like this ?

Have you looked in the event log for any errors from the scanner? If so please post them. It seems like the software you are using is not communicating properly with the scanner. Could be either software or the scanner that is faulty.

I just looked at that . It looks to be fine nothing in the Event log. That is why I am leaning towards a hardware issue.

Have you got a spare scanner that you are able to access? and troubleshoot with another scanner?

Was able to figure out was a dirty printer giving out points since you helped.
