Cannot restart SQL Server 2008 R2
I had a problem with SQL Server and was told to reboot the database server. I was surprised to find out that I could stop the database instance but could not restart it.
In Configuration Manager, the process for the SQL Server database instance (MSSQLSERVER) says this under the SQL Server Services
Log on As:
NT AUTHORITY\NETWORKSERVICE
Start Mode says:
AUTOMATIC
State:
STOPPED
The database sits on a Virtual Server, we have tried to reboot the virtual server but so far we have had no luck.
Any help is greatly appreciated
