Microsoft CRM 4.0 - Populating Fields from Related Entities

Posted on 2011-05-09

I have created a date/time field on my Account form that I want to populate with the date/time field from another related entity.

I can populate the field manually on account or by using a simple onload script (that adds the current date) but want to pull the date from a custom entity when I open the Account form.

I created a 1:N relationship from the custom entity that should supply the date to Account and mapped the date to the field on Account.

When I open the Account form or create a new Account, the date field on Account does not populate.

I have gotten this to work in the past but believe that I used either javascript or xml in the onload event to get it to work.

Please point me in the right direction.

    Hi apollo7,

    Same as the previous post,

    1. Download :
    2. Check :

You will have to load the CrmService.js on load of account and then query your fiscal entity to get the date.
