Experts,

I have tried enabling this via both settings within IIS but dont seem to be getting any success.

I have moved over a site from another server IIS6 i believe, it uses ASPemail to send emails. I thought all i would nee to do is install SMTP and then update the default.asa file to point to local host? Obviously im wrong :(

Cn someone explain how to go about setting up IIS7.5 with SMtp, so that i can evenyually send mail using ASP? Also please explain a simple method to test whether it is working or not?

Regards

Also note that depending on your configuration (eg: if you're in a corporate network) you may have to allow allow SMTP Forwarding for the server from exchange.

Hi there,

Thanks for the link, but this doesnt correlate to my setup, there is no 'add features' option? Could this be because he is running windows 2008 server, whereas im running windows 7 home premium?

Ah.  Correct.  See the following link.  Unfortunately they didn't include it . . . but they have a link to another (similiar) type of service.
