This is the issue I am having, I have a intranet joomla site which I have people that doesnt have email address , and I am trying to hack or get an extension, to disable the requirement to enter the e-mail field on the joomla registration....

So far I have tried the following wihtou luck:

1.-Installed Community Builder and user their registration, but seems that it inherits the required field validation from the Core joomla registration.
2.- Set a default email in phpmyadmin for the user table field
3.- Disable registration and using only CB registration.....

Have someone accomplished this ? how can I do this? Anny suggestions?>?

Wow, you mean you have clients that in 2011 do not have any email address?!  That's incredible, almost unbelievable.  But fortunately there is a good solution.  Tell them to visit GMail.com and get a free email address.  Problem solved!

you could try diabling the authentication in joomla -

global configuration >> system >> user settings >> New User Account Activation = No

This will allow your users to register with any email but their account is setup without verification

Will this work for you?

After two days I was able to accomplish this by changing the code for  the input field for email address to "hidden" and using a fake  email address as default value.
