Is there a way to eXerge a mailbox from an exchange 2007 RSG to a pst ?

I'm trying to recover some older mailboxes from our old server. I was able to mount the store using exchange 2007 RSG. I can see the mailboxes fine, but if I try to merge them to existing mailboxes it fails as the GUID don't match.  Is there a way to exmerge these out as .pst then import the information I need ?  Or is there another way of recovering the mailboxes using the RSG merge feature ?

You could try the export-mailbox command. Make sure you give your account full mailbox access to the one you are exporting.

All pcs at this location are 64 bit windows 7,, the above link mentions using a 32 bit xp machine with the exchange tools loaded...
Is there not an exmerge feature in exchange 2007 ?

It can be any Windows version but it does have to be 32-bit. I have used a 2003 server to do this before.

ExMerge is no longer available for 2007 so far as I know http://www.simple-talk.com/sysadmin/exchange/goodbye-exchange-exmerge,-hello-export-mailbox/

from the exchange server is there an export function, or is my only option to setup a 32 bit pc and follow this guide ?

There is no export function from the server directly that I know of unfortunately. Any 32-bit XP or higher system would be required as far as I know.

I have the pc setup, but Im having trouble  exporting  from the recovery storage group database.  the server name is crserver, I'm trying to export the admin mailbox, using the command:
[PS] C:\Documents and Settings\administrator.CRLAW>get-mailbox -database "crserver \ recovery storage group\mailbox database" | export-mailbox -identity admin -PSTFolderPath C:\pst\admin.pst

response is cannot bind parameter 'database'

What am I doing wrong,, I cant find any examples of an export from a RSG

Try this, I don't think the "crserver\recovery storage group\mailbox database" is correct but lets see what the output is. Also make sure your account has full mailbox access to the admin mailbox.
Get-MailboxDatabase "crserver\recovery storage group\mailbox database" | export-mailbox -identity admin -PSTFolderPath C:\pst\admin.pst
