DELL Latitude D810 Power Provblem

I have a Dell Latitude D810. It will bot power on. I think its because the battery is dead (DUH-I know). When I plug the power adapter in, the green light goes on, but when I plug the power adapter into the laptop, the green power light turns off. It happens with two different power adapters.
Any Ideas?

It is possible your battery is shorting out your adapter. Try powering on you system with only the ac adapter and see what happens. If you can power on your system with both ac adapaters, then you know that your battery is faulty to the extent that it is shorting out your ac adapter. I advise you not to use your battery if it is causing this type of problem it may cause other damage.
If the issue occurs with the battery out, and with another ac adapter then its a blown power board, only fix is to replace the motherboard.
