Sbs2011 nothing working

Are you logging in with the administrator account when you try to start the services.
What happens when you restart the server

Yes I am, and it restarts ok but is slow starting, it takes itsbtime on applying computer settings, I've even disabled all exchange services

also is this a new build of sbs2011 or a migration

Sorry new build but has been running fine for a couple ofvweeks

anything in the event logs that may give you a heads up as to what maybe the issue.

also if you do net share in the cmd do you see the sysvol shared out.

Sysvol is shared out, and nothing to lead me anywhere!!!!

Errors in event viewer are - msexchangeis 1121 error 0x96f connecting to active directory

And

Msexchangeadaccess 2114

if the exchange services fail to start a long shot but what size is the edb. I would assume its small and this aint the issue as its a new build but worth asking for others to come in on as if you dont have anything in the event logs to give you a heads up we will struggle here.
Another option would be spyware or viruses but event logs is the 1st port of call but if you say there is nothing in here and nothing has changed I would check the edb / disk space / viruses

Just as the above shows make sure IPV6 is NOT DISABLED as this will cause this issue if its disabled

Ipv6 is not disabled, but I'm having very similar symptoms

I'm convinced this is dns, when I try to access the dns management tool I get access is denied..

I wiped the server.
