email links opening homepage

When opening a link in email, internet explore opens the homepage and not the correct URL. This is outlook 2003 with a pop account. No exchange. Malware scanner finds nothing. Any help is appreciated.

Install IE9 and see if it does the same thing.  Or Google Chrome.
