LiveUpdte returned a non-critical error. Available content updates may have failed to install.

Hello Experts;

I'm having an issue with Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager  11.0.6200.754

I'm constantly receiving this error in the event viewer

 Error 13
I tried clearing the downloaded updates from download folders, installing the latest version of Liveupdate and register it with both SEPM and SEP but it did not help.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

I found this issue can happen only when you have Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager and Symantec Endpoint Protection client installed on the same server.

I was able to resolve the issue by completely removing "Symantec Endpoint Protection", rebooting the server and then re-install it.

Hope this helps.

In your Live Update content, do you have Decomposer Signatures activated?  If so, try deactivating that.

No luck, I have unchecked it and assiged the policy just to make sure and it still won't work.

Check the host file and make sure there is no entry for as liveupdate needs access to this server in order to work properly (when it installs it will check for this entry and ask if you wish to delete it).  If you use the mvps hosts file edit that entry out.
