XP services disabled only 5 are running and automatic

How can I enable all window services the easy way. I have all the services set to disabled expect of 5 that are started and set to automatic. I have msconfig set to normal startup. How could someone go and disable all the services if not by manually?

You can copy and save this file as a text file from notepad with a .bat extension. Saving it to the root directory is the easiest way to locate it afterwards.

For example, call it Enable-Disable Services.bat

Open a command prompt:
start>run
cmd (enter)
execute the file you saved.

You can change any of the settings to whetever you want. The 3 options are
demand
auto
disabled

If there is a service missing, just add it. Always use the name of the service, not the display name (sometimes they are the same)

Anyway, here is the file:

Change each service startup type to what you want, save it, then run it from a cmd box. That's it.

Almost forgot... as you cna see, there is a space after the equal sign... very important, do not eliminate the space.

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

yes... should make the system run faster.

A side note. You notice there are curly quotes in the script. Once copied to notepad, they should become straight quotes. For some reason, windows doesn't like curly quotes sometimes lol

If you have a problem running it, just make sure they are "normal straight quotes."
