Hi,

We recently upgraded our Internet connection speed to 120mb/s download and around 40 upload in one of our location.

We are able to get 120mb/s (speedtest) in download when we connect a PC directly in our ISP modem.

When we connect on the same modem with a cisco 871,and the pc on the lan port, we are only getting 15mb/s in download.

The 871 is supposed to be a 10/100mbs. I was expecting way more download/upload speed.

I've forced the interface fa4(wan) to full duplex, and speed 100 and the speed has even more decreased (now near 11mb/s download).

I've check the cpu and it seems ok.

Here is my show int result:

*******#sh int fa4
FastEthernet4 is up, line protocol is up

The PC is connected physically in port fa1.

*********#sh int fa1

Is it normal? Have you ever experienced this?  The same config is working perfectly with other low speed ISP.

Waiting for your comments,

thx
Jonathan

I had the same problem with my SonicWall TZ180 not supporting 100MB, everything says that it can support the 10/100T speeds (which it does) with the internal network, but the throughput from LAN to WAN is only capable of 15MB same thing goes for the Cisco 871. If you want the full speed you will need to upgrade.
