Windows Server DNS automatically updates A records

I have a windows server 2008 domain controller that has the DNS server role installed for internal DNS management. The server has an internal IP address and an external IP address. The internal IP address, of course, is registered to the NIC on the server. I need the DNS server records to use the external IP address (for reasons I need not go into, but good reasons never-the-less). Every time I update the host A record with the external IP address, several days later it gets automatically updated to use the IP address assigned to the NIC. I have found that there is a setting in the NIC configuration that says "automatically update DNS", which I have turned off. Does anyone know how else the host A record is getting automatically updated?

So far, the command appears to have worked. I will have to wait and see whether or not the command makes a difference though. I'm not sure when schedule the automatic updates used before, but typically about once a week.
