HP EliteBook 8440P

Hello all i have a HP EliteBook 8440P i have a HP EliteBook 8440p. Every time i reboot the PCi it wants to use the projector montor instend of the normal lcd screen. If i then do a dirty power down it comes up again the right way. I never szaw this before. Anyhelp would be awesome!

Are you using Function-F4 to switch display modes?

I tried but when you do it as the OS is loading you nothing happens and when you do it is windows 7 a Gui comes up. but does let me switch?

Sounds like it's configured in dual monitor mode with the projector as the primary.  R-Click your desktop to pull up properties or check the video driver util if it has one for dual monitor setup.  NVidia, Intel, etc.

Really wish it that easy. The problem is that i can only select one video card on the PC..

By only one video card I assume you mean it only sees one monitor attached?  Have you checked for a driver update?  What is the Device Manager showing for monitors?  You might also try removing the vidoe card in device manager and reinstalling it.
