site to site vpn

I am trying to setup a site to site vpn which I have never done.  At the main location we have an asa5510 and at the remote location I am using a wrv210 cisco router. I am setting this up for our voip system.

    Will your VoIP system accept the latency of a tunnel?  We use a Cisco Call Manager system, and it was never happy going over a tunnel.  We ended up getting a DS-1 point-to-point to handle the inter-office Call Manager traffic.
