What is the error you are receiving?

folder permissions are 777

image not copying from temp to folder

so using the code you have above
$uploadedfile is correct (temporary location of the image)
$filename is the destination where you want to save the new image

and the script is failing on the line where it is supposed to save to $filename, or is it failing on the line where it creates an image from $uploadedfile?

Is that correct?

I'm assuming that you are using two different windows servers. It would be interesting to see if you had the same problem if the first one was upgraded to php 5.3.6 from 5.2. At the end of the day it sounds like it's a permission problem (related to windows) and not a php problem.
