I have a file server that is running out of storage space and I attempted to make an image of the server (power edge 2850) using the ghost with a windows virtual boot CD but it was not able to see the hard drive (virtual drive c) in the server. I would like someone to recommend an imaging software that they know for sure works in imaging virtual disk (Raid 5). It would be great if it is a free product too.

    Assisted Solution

You need to use a product that has drivers for your RAID controller.  Ghost is pretty good about supporting the PERCs, but you need to go to the symantec site, and verify compatibility with the specfic RAID controller you have.

Symantec BESR will do the job but it is not free
