Dynamics Role Center doesn't display web parts from Citrix client

When opening the AX client from within a Citrix session the web parts on the role center page do not display. If I login from a local client the role center page works great. What in Citrix would be blocking these web parts from displaying/updating?

Citrix Farm: Windows Server 2003 x64 (8 servers)
Citrix Version: XenApp 5
Dynamics: AX 2009

Role Center data should be pulling from the AXWeb server (Win 2008)

What is "AX client" and "web parts"?

AX client-Dynamivs AX 2009 client-software that connects to the Dynamics AX AOS. This can be installed on a local PC or in our case on a Citrix server and published as an application.

Web parts - like SharePoint web parts. They are added to appear on the Role Center page when the AX client first logs in to the AOS server. The web parts get their data from the Dynamics AX Web server.

When you login to see the "web parts", I assume that's within the webpage?  If you RDP it works and ICA it doesn't?

Are you logging in with different permissions when you do RDP and ICA?

    Accepted Solution

As it turns out, there was a setting in IE to play animations in webpages that wasn't set.
