Windows Deployment Services(WDS) and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit(MDT)

Dear Sirs,

Please tell me the differences between
Windows Deployment Services(WDS) and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit(MDT).

Are they Same or different. Please tell me.

WDS is the base component from Windows Server 2008 which is used for network boot.
You can simple deploy OS with WDS but there's a lot of manual doing needed.
MDT is a Freeware from Micrsoft which uses the WDS for the OS Deployment Core Services and brings some additional stuff like a Database for Application Dependencies, a GUI for an easy Management and so on
