Windows Media Center through Remote Desktop Connection

I have a Windows 7 computer with Windows Media Center.  I am able to watch Cable television and over the air broadcast networks on WMC Live TV.

I was away from home and successfully remoted into my computer, opened WMC and went to Live TV.  I received the error that I could not access WMC through a remote connection.

What configuration changes do I need to make or is there a plug-in to help with this?

I think your need to adjuts the screen resolution setting in remote desktop software...that should work.

So, I need to set the screen resolution in RDP to match the computer I am remoting into?  Thanks, I will try tonight and let you know.

    Accepted Solution

As I understand this, Media Center will not work, especially for watching live TV.  You may be able to pull up a guide and set what to record, but you won't be able to effectively watch TV.  Screen resolutions shouldn't matter.
