You need to unzip/untar/??? those files in a folder that can be seen by the linux running in vmware.

I suggest you just copy the files in the the VMWare linux machine and unzip them in there.

    To do what?

If the files are sitting in your host OS, Windows, and you have a Linux VM running, you need the installation files in a folder that can be seen by the Linux VM.

You can either share a Windows folder and mount it in the VM
Copy the files from Windows into the Linux VM and install from there.
