Window 2003 SMTP Relay problems

I have windows 2003 SMTP Server that is only handling outgoing emails for my automated email programs to internal and external recipients. The way that I have it configured is my outbound connections is accepting relays from any of my internal IP address connecting to my Exchange provider through a TLS encrypted connection. I have tested the relay and I am able to send out mail but for some reason I have some not going through and they are sitting in my Bad mail folder but I’m not sure why. Also is there a way to try and push the ones in the bad mail foolder?

Under SMTP properties , enable all your logging options and watch the log files , that should tell you why you are getting that much of bad emails in the queue.

Do you know if there is a way to force the ones that are in my C:\Inetpub\mailroot\Badmail  Directory after I made changes that would allow them to go?

I think they will automatically go if they find a way out. there is a TTL (time to live) for them probably ..

That's why when you usually fix a problem .. tons of emails go out all of the sudden .
