Drupal -- Relative URL for site settings?

Hi all, I built a Drupal site for a company but they are having trouble accessing it from within their office. Something having to do with the network having the same name as the website. So instead of www.blahblah.com, they access it from www.blah.com in the office. There are a few things that are breaking though because they are hard-coded through Drupal's site settings to www.blahblah.com.

So...
Is there anyway to make the site settings a relative url?

See here a patch that addresses this issue.
Also there are drupal modules like pathfilter that can be used.
