Outlook Auto Complete Not Saving After Restart

This is driving my crazy! For whatever reason Outlook no longer saves any contact email addresses. You can turn on the auto complete and it works for the day, but after Outlook restarts it no longer works and you have to start all over again. I uninstalled Office and cleared out anything that is related to Outlook files, data and all others (I think I got them all), then reinstalled the program. Didn't work. Has this happened to anyone else that has found a solution?

Not sure if this is related or not, but when you "Exit" close down Outlook, it is still running but just not opened.... If you have more then one profile you have to restart the computer just to be prompted to open a different profile. Outlook 2007 with sp3

This ability of Outlook is materialized by a single file john_doe.nk2 located in ur_profile\application_data\Microsoft\outlook\ may be yours is corrupted or read-only set (why ?).
A little app. called NK2VIEW (freeware) is great for managing theses files (import, export...)

So I went to one of my back up computers and started a new outlook account. Did a few emails and took the nk2 file and copied from that computer to the one that is having the problem. The file was not on that computer at all. Once it was copied over I shut down the program and restarted it. The auto info was still saved. I'll wait untill tomorrow for the entire system to be restarted and see if the nk2 file is still there and saving the info.

i tired that app you told me about. i like how you can see everything and delete entries that are missing values. however, after reading over everything and removing everything that looked like it might be a problem it didnt correct the problem. i have ended up removing outlook and all related files from the computer and reinstalling it. once the profile was put back on the nk2 file was new and empty. so its now saving email address however, outlook still does not close down right. i can exit the program and it still shows it running in TM. if i close it there, none of the email addresses are saved. if i keep opening and closing the program it will close at some point and the entries are saved. works better, but not 100%. im starting to think it has something to do with the entire profile itself on the machin.
