553 553 mailbox is restricted

When trying to email user@mycompany.com from an external email address, the message gets bounced back and i get the following message in the external email: 553 553 mailbox is restricted

I checked user properties and made sure there were no delivery restrictions. I also checked the SMTP connector and saw no restrictions there either.

We are using Mcafee spam quarantine as 3rd party spam filter however im unsure of how to add the user to the 3rd party spam filter list.

Is this for a new user you just added in Active Directory or for all users trying to get email from outside sources.

Have you considered contacting McAfee support on how to configure the spam quarantine manager?

This problem is only occuring for a new user just added. I have not yet contacted McAfee support.

I suspect mail will not flow for new users until they are added to the quarantine manager.   I'd contact McAfee and find out how to use the product so you can add users
