What would you recommend for System Monitoring tools?

We run a very diverse environment on Windows, UNIX (AIX mostly), along with XenDesktop, XenServer, and vSphere. I have seen several monitoring packages out there that are capable of monitoring these, but I'm curious if anyone else has done their research and found a solid solution.

thanks

I have worked and used nagios for system monitoring and mrtg for network. Both are open source and easy to configure.
