Encrypted backup in SBS2011?

Can the native backup feature in SBS2011 be configured to encrypt the data it puts on the external drive?

My client is a doctor's office, and wants to take the backup drive home at night. They need encryption to satisfy HIPPA.

The referenced article answers the specific question I asked, but I really should have asked a more general question.

The article presents a fairly complicated way to enable true encryption, but all my client REALLY
needs is to protect the backup drives against snoopy people.

SBS 2011 Backup does that well enough, because it reformats the backup drives in such a way that they can't simply be plugged into another computer and viewed.

A determined hacker could easily defeat that limited protection, but the casual snoop would give up when they try to view the drive and get the "Access denied" message.
