how can i disable an email account or stop mail flow to the mailbox.

i want to disable an email account or stop mail flow to the mailbox but do not want to completely remove the mail account. Is it possible to stop mail flow and not remove totally.

Right click the user in Active Directory and disable.
Under the user properties you can remove the email addresses also.
