email prints small

I am using Outlook 2003.  Whenever I get an email from 1 specific person and want to print out what they wrote it is really small.  I have emailed this to other people in our office and they can print it our just fine.  It only happens to this 1 user.

I'm going to guess the emails in question are HTML emails. If so, they derive from the same Print set as IE. Please open IE and then go to File > Page Setup > uncheck Enable shrink-to-fitOK. Please have this user try printing the email(s) in question again.

How does the preview look?

There is no "enable shrink to fit"   when I go into to file page setup.  The preview though in IE does show shrink to fit when I do print preview.

Which version of IE is installed on this machine?

Could we change the Shrink To Fit setting that you see in Print Preview to 100% and then try printing the problematic Outlook email to see if this works better?

I had a client awhile back with an issue like you're describing and it took a bit of time to figure out it was a Shrink to Fit disable in IE that resolved her Outlook HTML printing issue.

IE 8.  I can change it to 100% but when I exit out of IE it always reverts back to shrink to fit.

I wonder if this is the result of policy or an IE8 issue.

Here is what IE8's Page Setup looks like on my system (verified on both XP and Win7 systems having IE8):

Does your Page Setup look anything close to this (in terms of available options like above)?

If it's not a policy issue, I might suggest a Restore Advanced Settings or even possibly a Reset of the default Web browser settings to see if the Enable Shrink to Fit option becomes available... both options accessible from Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab.

mine does not look anything like that.  i will try what you said about the reset.  I will send a screenshot of my preview pane.
