We are preparing to move from a 2003 terminal server environment using native management tools (e.g., none) to 2008 with a management solution (e.g. Citirx, 2X).<br />
- 500 max concurrent users<br />

For Citrix as a management solution, the benefit being pushed is ease of management and improved performance for our &gt;150ms ping offices.<br />

However, budget is limited. &nbsp;On the table is just using Citrix for our problem offices and native unmanaged TS for the other offices.<br />

This seems a bit awkward, so I'm wondering if the performance increase with Citrix for the problem offices would be worth it. &nbsp;It would be only about 50 users on Citrix, but we are hopeful management will bite the bullet and approve 100% deployment later.<br />

I'm also of the opinion that our environment is a bit small for Citrix anyway, but I'd still like to simplify management and improve quality for the far remote offices - which is a top concern, so I'd like to hear about any experience with 2x or ericomblaze or other more affordable option.<br />
