SQL 2008 reinstall on Windows 2008 SBS

I have a Windows 2008 SBS server. Somehow, in the process of installing another application the SQL component was removed. I thought it'd be easy enough to reinstall but I'm not able to work it out. I don't seem to be able to start setup again  (it seems to want to reinstall the whole O/S)

I don't see anything in roles or features either.

So the question is how do I reinstall SQL on a pre-existing 2008 SBS install? And, after that, how do I get Sharepoint working with the new SQL install?

Hi,

Here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/sbs-2008-repair-guide%28WS.10%29.aspx you can find a complete set of document about repairing a SBS 2008 server, it has a seperate section for Sharepoint. Sharepoint uses the Windows Internal Database for storage so take a look how to repair that.

I looked that document over and I'm not seeing anything to do with SQL. The Manage Server Applications sounded good but there doesn't seem to be any such console (or even in help).

There must be some way to reinstall SQL?
The SQL database used by sharepoint is called the Windows Internal Database which is also used by WSUS. It is installed as a part of the WSUS and Sharepoint setup, so following these step would help you.
Otherwise, here http://www.thehelpdesk.co.nz/2011/03/reinstallrepair-sbs-2008-companyweb.html is a description how to reinstall all those features in one document
Ok, thanks....looks like I have the Sharepoint issues worked out. But I still don't see any way of reinstalling SQL...I feel like I'm missing something obvious.
Any insights on SQL reinstall on 2008 SBS?
