Video without audio inside powerpoint

Dear Expert:

I have a video downloaded from youtube which is working perfectly (images as well as sound) when I double-clicked over it from windows explorer.

I have inserted this video on a presentation made in PowerPoint 2007. The video is playing perfectly but without sound. It's on the same computer, and all powerpoint sound options seems to be activated (volume to maximum, etc...).

Any help would be appreciated.

Finally the problem seems to be an incompatibility between the .avi file and powerpoint. A wmv file works fine.
