how can i apply our group policies to macs
can i apply group policies like logon scripts favourites etc to macs

Short answer... no. Not natively however I believe there are products such as centrify which can help with this.

The other expert is correct. The whole GPO thing works on the assumption that there is a registry; which, thankfully, OS X doesn't have. There are third party programs that deal with AD and the Mac as he has mentioned. I've not used them so can't comment on them.
